GOLF | Two Gaels Finish in Top 10, with Bressum Coming in 4th in Michigan

HARRIS, Mich. – The Saint Mary's Golf Team finished the 2023 Island Resort Intercollegiate hosted by South Dakota State with two of its golfers in the top 10, as Kristian Bressum Finished tied for fourth overall and Aidan Lee finished in tied for seventh of 76 golfers.

The Gaels also improved overall as a team and moved up two spots to finish in fifth place of 11 teams. Part of the that big jump as a team was due to Zack Missigman shooting a 67 in round three of the par-72 course.

Bressum and Lee each shot a 73 on in round three and Jonathan Curran shot a 74. Bressum finished at 207 strokes at 9-under par, Lee at 209 and 7-under, and Curran at 212 strokes and 4-under par over the three rounds. The 207 strokes put Bressum in a tie for 15th in SMC program history for 54 holes, and the ninth-place finish for Lee was the sophomore's best placing in his young Gaels career.

Saint Mary's will head to the Pacific Northwest to take part in the Husky Invitational in Bremerton, Wash. on September 18-19.
