MORAGA, Calif. – Addison Wedin shot 60% over the Holiday Break and led the Gaels with 14 points in their win over San Jose State to earn the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week Award for January 2.
 
Wedin led the Gaels to a 70-52 win over the Spartans, going 5 of 8 from the field, 2 of 3 from behind the arc, and hitting both of her free throws on the way to her 14 points, along with pulling down three rebounds.
 
She was 4 of 7 in SMC's win at Denver with eight points, making her 9 of 15 over the last two games, and Wedin had three rebounds in that victory as well. The 14 points were Wedin's third double-digit scoring effort of the season, after putting up 15 points versus UC Irvine and a 10 spot against UC Davis.
 
The Gaels begin WCC this Thursday, January 4 when they host Pacific at 6:30 p.m. in UCU Pavilion.
