MXC | Gaels Last Meet Before the WCC Championship

MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's Men's Cross Country team will compete one last time before the West Coast Conference Championship as they compete in the Santa Clara Bronco Invite on Saturday, October 19th. The men will compete in the open race which will begin at 10:15 AM.
GAELS RECAP
The Gaels placed 13th out of 15 teams in the Bill Dellinger Invite with four runners making the top 100 and five hitting new PRs. Zane Jackson led the pack of Gaels as he crossed the finish line in 52nd with a personal best 8K of 24:11.0, 18.7 seconds faster than his previous time. Senior Francisco Felix Jr. finished with a time of 24:27.7 in 70th place with his new personal best by 25.9 seconds. Sophomore Stockton native Jacob Moffett took 83rd coming in with another personal best for the Gaels at 24:37.0, 10.5 seconds off of his best.
Just making the top 100 cut, Curtis Volf finished 93rd as he crossed the finish line with a time of 24:44.3. Aidan Donovan finished in 109th with a time of 25:07.0, just 2.7 seconds shy of his personal best. Three spots behind him was Eric Martinez with a time of 25:14.20, 0.4 seconds off of his best time. Jason Habash crosses the finish line with his new personal best time of 25.23.9.
ABOUT THE RACE
The Gaels are no strangers to the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, having run in it every year since 2021. Returners Jacob Bravo and Cayden Hein each ran in the event last year. Bravo placed 51st in the open, while Hein placed 53rd in the invitational. Live results can be found here.
