BVB | Ellasyn Scuba Inks NLI on National Signing Day

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball is excited to announce the signing of Ellasyn Scuba out of University City High School in San Diego. Scuba played indoor volleyball for the Centurions, serving as a team captain and one of the team's middle blockers, while also playing club beach volleyball for 692 West Beach Volleyball.
On the hardwood, Scuba is coming off of leading her squad to a CIF San Diego Section Division II Title just a few weeks ago. Standing at 5-11 but playing middle blocker, Scuba has demonstrated the unique skill set required to be a strong beach athlete as well, being able to play both the front and back row positions with an ability to both attack and defend.
On why she chose Saint Mary's, Scuba noted, "I chose Saint Mary's College because I loved both the athletic and academic programs and I felt like this is a perfect place for me to continue both parts of my life. I've always been passionate about beach volleyball and I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue my athletic career!"

"We are excited to welcome Ellasyn to our Saint Mary's Beach Team! She comes out of a strong beach region in San Diego and will bring that SoCal style to the Bay!"
