MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball team will have a new face on the coaching staff for 2025, as Head Coach Janice Harrer is excited to announce the addition of Coach Haley Domeck to her staff. Coach Domeck will take over lead assistant duties from Cinthia Angus, who will now move her focus full time to the indoor squad.
"I am thrilled to be here at Saint Mary's!" exclaimed Coach Domeck, "Coach Janice is building a phenomenal program with amazing young women who are very driven on the court and in the classroom. I think that really shows what an amazing place Saint Mary's is, because it is a high academic institution with a phenomenal legacy in athletics that continues to grow year by year. I am really looking forward to working with a program that is on the rise, as we look to build on a strong season from last year."
Coach Domeck has a resume of coaching experience that reads like a research paper, with stops at HI Intensity Volleyball Club, Spike and Serve Volleyball Club, Reign Beach Volleyball Club, Prairie High School, Durham University, Level Elite Sports, University of North Alabama, Seattle Pacific University, and Linfield University. Amongst the collegiate beach coaching ranks, Coach Domeck was an assistant coach for the inaugural season of North Alabama Beach Volleyball, helping the team to 10 wins in year one as a program, and had a hand in recruiting the program's all-time wins leader Paula Klemperer. Coach Domeck also spent time as an assistant coach for the indoor squads at North Alabama (2018) and Seattle Pacific (2019), and most recently served as the head indoor coach for Linfield University. While at Linfield, Coach Domeck amassed 21 wins over four seasons at the helm, and coached all-time great libero Paige Richards. Now, Coach Domeck returns to her beach roots in Moraga.
As a player, Domeck was a three time all-conference honoree at Hawaii Pacific University. A gifted middle blocker, Domeck held the PacWest Conference Blocks Record for five years, until she was finally dethroned in 2019. Following her graduation from HPU, Domeck continued her academic and athletic career at Durham University, in England, and led her team to a British National Championship in 2017, and was a National Runner-Up in Beach Volleyball that same year.
Coach Domeck and the Gaels will see their season get underway on 2/21/25, as they head to Arizona to open their season at Grand Canyon.
