BOISE, Idaho — Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball (12-14) left the Golden State for the final team this season, taking in RV Boise State (26-8) and #17 Arizona (17-8) in Boise. While the Gaels had pairs make some noise in both matchups, and even earned a pair of points against the Broncos, they would ultimately fall in the to both opponents, 3-2 and 5-0 respectively.

The signature moment of the day for the Gaels came against Boise State, when Hawley Harrer and Sadie Shipman, playing together for the first time this season, handed the Boise State two's a loss, their first in their last 10 matches. At the time it knotted the match up at one apiece, but the Broncos would with the one's and three's and despite Paola Peralta and Chloe Swanson coming from behind to win the five's, it was too little, too late. 

The Gaels battled hard against the 17th ranked Arizona Wildcats, with four of five matches either going three sets or needing extra points to decide one of the sets, if not both. Hawley Harrer and Sadie Shipman were the closest Gael pairing to picking up a win against U of A, dropping a tighter than tight third set, 23-21. Ultimately, the Gaels were unable to take a point against the Wildcats, falling 5-0. 

Saint Mary's will return to action on Saturday, taking on Sacramento State at home for senior day. First serve is set for noon.
