WTEN | Stefanie Silva Earns Her Spot on the 2024 WCC All-Academic Team

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference just announced the Women's All-Academic Team for the 2024 season, with junior Stefanie Silva from South Surrey, Canada having earned a spot on the list. This her second consecutive year being recognized with this award. 
 
In order to be named to the WCC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must meet all the following standards:
 
(a) A minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) based on the most recently completed term at the time of the nomination.
 
(b) Be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials.
 
(c) Have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed at the nominating institution.
 
(d) Participate in at least 50 percent of the institution's completed contests.
 
Stefanie Silva was a significant player for the Gaels as she finished the season with a 16-10 (62%) win-loss single record and a 16-12 (57%) doubles record, while studying Biology and maintaining a 3.960 GPA.
