SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Gaels Women's Tennis team season has come to an end after falling short to LMU 4-1. 
 
Saint Mary's came out on top in the doubles, though there was an unfortunate freak injury on court three right at the beginning of the match for the Gaels. Having to retire from this set, SMC Juliette Daries and Tian Yu Dong defeated the Lions Fiona Arrese and Carlota Molina 6-1. LMU duo Isabella Tcherkes-Zade and Stefania Rogozinska-Dzik put up a fight on court one. The SMC Honorable Mention duo Iman Khan and Olivia Rook, outlasted the Lions 7-6(4) to secure the doubles point. 
 
Loyola Marymount swept the Gaels in the singles starting off with court six Anastasia Bozova taking down Madison Weekley 6-2, 6-3, followed by Kim-Michaela Zahraj defeating Saint Mary's 
Dong 7-6(2), 6-0. 
 
SMC continued to battle, but the Lions were able to outlast MiaAngelina Ruja 6-4, 6-2 and Daries 7-5, 5-3.
