Diego Jarry began the singles, falling short to Portland Nicolas Ocana 6-1, 6-1. Oscar Brown defeated Saint Mary's Ramos Membrives 6-2, 6-2, and the Pilots secured the win with a 6-2, 7-5 score over Maxant.
ABOUT SAN DIEGO
San Diego is currently sitting at a 15-2 record with a six game win streak, three of those wins against ranked teams. Over the season, the Torero's have defeated a total of eight ranked teams, coming up short and giving them their two losses against No. 7 USC and No. 47 Oklahoma.
San Diego's Sophomore, Oliver Tarvet, has been the West Coast Conference's Single Player of the Week six times in his career and three times just this season. The Sophomore has taken home eight weekly awards this season and has earned at least one weekly honor in seven of the first nine weeks of the spring season.
ABOUT CAL BERKELEY
The Bears are currently sitting at a 7-7 record, 5-1 at home, 0-4 on the road. About three weeks ago, Junior Alex Chang was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after assisting his team to sweep No. 52 Oregon and No. 74 Washington. Chang and his duo Mikey Wright continued to defeat other ranked duos, giving them a 17-7 record together. Chang is the only Bear to have earned this award this season.
