MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's softball team will make their second NCAA Tournament appearance this Friday as they take on 8th ranked Stanford at 7:00 PM. The Cardinal will play host for the second straight year in the regional and also welcome SEC member Mississippi State and BigWest affiliate Cal State Fullerton. The Gaels will look to continue their historic 2024 campaign and seek their first NCAA tournament victory in program history.
WCC Coach of the Year
Sonja Garnett matched the program record with 30 wins this season in just her sixth season at the helm. She also helped produce nine total all-conference selections along with Co-Pitcher of the Year in
Odhi Vasquez and Freshman of the Year
Sam Buckley. WCC Second Team selection
Avrey Wolverton hurled a complete game in the season finale to help defeat LMU 8-0 and secure the conference title, the first in program history.
Mississippi State will take on Cal State Fullerton at 4:30 PM on Friday to kickoff the regional and then the Gaels will battle the Cardinal in the nightcap at 7:00 PM. The full regional schedule and media links can be found below:
