WXC | Kaylee Barnes Earns First WCC Runner of the Week Honors of her Career

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - For the first time in her career, Kaylee Barnes has won the West Coast Conference Women's Runner of the Week after her outstanding performance at the Pacific Invite.
Barnes not only finished first overall with a time of 20:58.5, but she also helped lead the Gaels to a first place finish. This is Saint Mary's fourth consecutive first place finish at the Pacific Invite.
The Junior has been SMC's top runner so far this season as she took fourth place at the USF Invite. Barnes was sandwiched between Stanford runners where she jumped nine spots throughout her race. She was 1.4 seconds behind Stanford's third place finisher and 4.5 seconds before their fifth place.
