MXC | Woolf, Uridales and Schuetze All PR to Pace Gaels at Bronco Invitational

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — The Saint Mary's Men's Cross Country team closed out their regular season this morning at the Bronco Invitational where four competing Gaels earned their personal best times. Saint Mary's finished 16th in a field of 18 teams.
Leading the way for the Gaels was freshman Jackson Woolf who clocked in at 25:24.9, shaving thirty seconds off his previous best time. The race marked the freshman's second time finishing first for Saint Mary's, the first coming in his collegiate debut at the USF Invitational.
Finishing next for the Gaels was Diego Urdiales, who improved his personal best time by forty seconds with a time of 25:58.0. Jacob Schuetze followed, earning a personal best of 26:03.0, ensuring that the top three Gael finishers all clocked in with PRs. Rounding off the scoring for the Gaels were Andrew Perez (26:10.7) and Anthony Sharp (27:17.1).
In his first collegiate race, freshman Zack Springer completed his debut race at 28:14.4. Competing in his second Bronco Invitational, Moss Michelson improved his time from his performance last season by nearly 44 seconds, finishing the race in 28:20.9.
With the completion of their regular season, the Gaels will turn their focus to the WCC Championships set for Saturday, November 1st in Cheney, Washington.
