Tip Off Week is Almost Here
10/28/2025 11:08:00 AM | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
MORAGA, Calif. — The month of November is fast approaching, and with it, basketball season in Moraga. Saint Mary's Men's and Women's Basketball will both be in action twice inside UCU Pavilion during opening week, and we want to see and hear all of our proud fans Packing the Pav!
The Gaels men's team will host an opening night showdown with St. Thomas on Monday, November 3 tipping off at 7 PM. This meeting between the Gaels and Tommies should be a good one, featuring the defending West Coast Conference Champs taking on the preseason favorites to win the Summit League. Come out early to this one to secure your RB25 Button, celebrating Head Coach Randy Bennett's 25th season at the helm of the Gaels.
A day later, the Gaels women's side will open on the road at Wyoming, taking on the Cowgirls in Laramie. Tip off for that one is set for 5:30 PM PST. With both teams with a game under their belt, UCU Pavilion will play host to a basketball doubleheader on Friday, November 7. The women will get it started at 4 PM, taking on DII powerhouse Chico State, a team that has made the NCAA DII National Tournament in each of the last two seasons. The men will have the nightcap, taking on defending NIT Champions Chattanooga. The Gaels and Mocs also squared off on November 7 last year, with the Gaels hanging up an 86-74 victory.
Rounding out a raucous week of basketball, the women's side will close out their three game week by hosting San Francisco State on Sunday, November 9, tipping off at 2 PM. The Gators will see Utah State as well in the non-conference slate, making the Gaels their second look at a DII opponent on the young season.
With all the excitement around basketball, there will also be Fall sport action as volleyball and soccer will be winding down their regular seasons. Volleyball will play host to Oregon State on November 6 at 6:30 PM, while Women's Soccer will celebrate Senior Day on November 8 as they quest for their first West Coast Conference Title in program history.
A limited number of single-game tickets are available for each of the home events during Tip Off Week and can be purchased here.
While general admission season tickets are sold out, there are select upper reserved season tickets, which include the Gaels' final West Coast Conference regular season game against Gonzaga on February 28, available while supplies last.
