SAN BRUNO, Calif. — With the 2025 volleyball season now complete, the West Coast Conference has announced its 2025 All-Conference honorees. A pair of Gaels have made their way onto this list, making it the eighth consecutive season with multiple Saint Mary's student-athletes being honored with postseason recognition. Genevieve Bane capped her career with her second first team All-WCC selection, while Mya Allen garnered honorable mention All-WCC marks, as well as a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team.
For the second straight season, Genevieve Bane led the Gaels in kills, eclipsing 300 for the second consecutive year. She added a career-best 68 blocks, good for third on the team, and 21 aces, good for fourth on the squad. Eight times, the Danville native hit 0.300 or better in a match, including a 20 kill performance on opening weekend against North Dakota State. She also rattled off a career-high seven blocks against Santa Clara, surpassing her previous high of six, set all the way back in her freshman year. Also an honorable mention honoree as a sophomore, this was Bane's third career All-WCC nod.
Despite missing the final eight matches of the year, Mya Allen did more than enough to earn her honorable mention recognition and a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team. The San Antonio native led the Gael averaging 3.39 kills per set, tallying 241 in just 71 sets of action. Allen also led the Gaels in aces per set (0.28) and was one of just six Gaels to reach triple digit digs (112). When healthy, the freshman was the focal point of the Gaels attack, as she surpassed 20 kills three times, including 24 in a four set win at Gonzaga, the fifth most by a Gael in a four set match in program history. She is the first Gael since Kristen Erland (2021) to be named to the WCC All-Freshman team.
