GREENWOOD, IN — Congratulations to sophomore middle blocker Tessa Schouten on earning a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. This award honors student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
Schouten was the Gaels number one middle blocker this season, leading the team with 110 blocks to go along with 152 kills and 18 aces. She started and appeared in every match, missing just four sets all season. Off the court, Tessa boasted a 3.82 cumulative GPA as a marking major.
