GREENWOOD, Ind. - On Thursday, June 5th the 2025 CSC Academic All-District teams were announced, recognizing the success of student-athletes on the field and in the classroom.
Brian Duroff,
Ryan Pierce and
Aiden Taurek represented Saint Mary's with selections to this year's Academic All-District team as they earned a minimum 3.50 GPA and also played in a significant number of games for the Gaels this season.
Duroff, Pierce and Taurek earned their first CSC Academic All-District selections of their careers. Duroff led the trio with a stellar 3.87 GPA as a Communications major at Saint Mary's. Duroff also played in 51 games this season and hit nine home runs.
Ryan Pierce was solid again in his second year as a Gael, playing in 61 of the team's 62 games and finishing second on the team with 14 home runs. He finished the spring semester with a 3.57 GPA as a Business Administration major.
Aiden Taurek capped off the team's All-District selections, starting in 61 games and having a career year on the field with a .328 batting average and a conference high 20 doubles. In the classroom, Taurek earned a 3.53 GPA as a Business Administration major. For his success in both the classroom and on the field Taurek will be considered for the Academic All-America team.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 1, 2025.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
