

Saint Mary’s Honors Kevin Will, Adam Bliss and Michelle Mounts as Members of the 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame

MORAGA, Calif. - On Saturday, February 7th Saint Mary's will welcome three more distinguished alumni into the Athletics Hall of Fame in football player Kevin Will, men's soccer player Adam Bliss and softball player Michelle Mounts. The trio will be honored at the Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony taking place this Saturday at 5:00 PM and then at the Gaels men's basketball game against San Francisco later that evening.
Saint Mary's is always proud to honor the great achievements of their alumni both athletically and in the community and we are honored to welcome Kevin, Adam and Michelle into an elite category as members of the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Kevin Will | Football Class of 1984
Kevin Will was a dominant defensive player for the Gaels in the early 80's and stood as one of the best linebackers in all of Division II. Will led the country in tackles with 172 during his senior season and finished with 332 tackles for his career to rank fifth all-time in program history. Will's single-season tackle total of 172 stood as the NCAA Division II record for nearly twenty years before being broken in 2015 by Connor Harris from Lindenwood (184).
Additional accolades during Will's career included most solo tackles in a season (63), most tackles in a game (24 vs. Cal Poly), two-time conference Defensive Player of the Year and league MVP in 1984. Following his collegiate career, Kevin Will spent time on the practice squads for both the San Diego Chargers and the New York Jets in 1985 and 1986 before starting his professional career as a Production Manager at Coast Rock Products.
Kevin Will was also a prominent member on campus off the football field as he worked for the Saint Mary's athletics department on the Facilities Management team, co-managing Madigan Gym and helping schedule practices and other intramural activities on campus. He was also a member of the Revenue Generation team during the Gaels basketball season, working in the VIP section at McKeon Pavilion during game days.
In the community, Will was the President and Founder of Student Opportunity for Catholic Knowledge and Education (SOCKES). He helped raise over $300,000 for student scholarships that could not afford a Catholic education along with The Santa Barbara Foundation as a key partner. Will held up the core values of Saint Mary's College during his time on campus and beyond and proudly represents the standard of all Gael alumni.
Adam Bliss | Men's Soccer Class of 1992
Adam Bliss was a four-year member of the Saint Mary's men's soccer team from 1989-1992 and will go into the Athletics Hall of Fame as the program's all-time leading goal scorer. The two-time all-conference selectee was a dominant offensive force for the Gaels, finishing his four-year career with 34 goals, 18 assists, 166 total shot attempts, 88 points and 79 matches played, all ranking inside the top-three in program history.
Bliss was named to the All-Conference Second Team during the '91 season and then capped off his SMC career with a historic season in '92, tallying eleven goals, four game-winners and 24 points for one of the best offensive seasons in program history. Bliss earned First Team distinction for his success and also took the title of the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 34, surpassing longtime teammate Juan Guarda who had 33.
Under head coach Bob Martin, Bliss and the Gaels earned back-to-back third place league finishes in 1989 and 1990 and Bliss tallied 33 wins over his four years. The four-year stretch from 1989-1992 were some of the most successful seasons in Martin's 14-year tenure as he concluded his career at Saint Mary's with 92 wins and was the program's all-time wins leader until current head coach Adam Cooper surpassed that mark in 2017.
Michelle Mounts | Softball Class of 2012
Michelle Mounts belonged to one of the best softball teams in program history and as a result she becomes the third softball player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and the first since Trisha Ford in 2007. Mounts will enter elite status Saturday night and does so with one of the best four-year stretches as an individual player in program history.
Mounts belonged to the Gaels softball program from 2009-2012 where she was a four-time All-PCSC selection and a two-time All-PCSC First Team selection. During her sophomore season, Mounts hit a team high .354 batting average and recorded 52 hits and 23 RBI's. During that same season, the Gaels set a program record with 30 wins and were crowned PCSC Champions with a 14-4 record. In 2012, Mounts capped off her SMC career with a season best .395 batting average to rank fifth all-time and also added 60 hits and a career high six home runs. Saint Mary's won 26 games that year and were crowned PCSC Champions once again with a 15-4 league record.
Mounts concluded her four-year career with 190 games played, a .347 batting average, 190 total hits, 95 RBI's and a career on-base percentage of .431. She ranks inside the top-ten in program history in batting average (.347), hits (190), doubles (28), home runs (14), runs scored (111), stolen bases (40) and RBI's (95) to stand as one of the most efficient and productive players of all-time.
All three Hall of Fame recipients will be honored at the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony taking place this Saturday, February 7th at 5:00 PM.
