MORAGA, Calif. — Transfer attacker Donovan Swann has signed on as the Saint Mary's men's water polo program's most recent addition to the team.
Coming to the Gaels from Diablo Valley College, Swann brings with him a great deal of experience and success. In the 2025-2026 season, he was named to the Big 8 All-Conference first team, to the 3C2A All-Norcal team, and the 3C2A All-American team. As a team captain at Diablo Valley, Swann led the Big 8 conference in goal scoring with 106 this past season and ranked second in assists with 62.
During his time competing for San Ramon Valley High School, Swann was named to the All-East Bay Athletic League First Team and All-North Coast Section first team in 2024. In back to back seasons in 2021 and 2022, his team won the North Coast Section Championships. During his 2022 season, Swann was named the Futures Water Polo League's Super Finals MVP. From the years 2017-2021, he played for the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program Cadet National Team. Swann is also a three time Junior Olympic Silver Medalist.
Swann becomes the Gaels second transfer ahead of the team's inaugural season, joining teammate Ethan Klerck. His collegiate experience and success will help strengthen Saint Mary's roster as the team continues to approach its season.
