MORAGA, Calif. — Continuing to build its first roster, the Saint Mary's men's water polo program and head coach James Lathrop welcome goalkeeper Griffin Lagsdin from Villa Park, California.
Before joining the Gaels, Lagsdin spent a season competing for Long Beach City College. There, he tallied 215 saves in goal, ranking third in the South Coast Conference. He also led the conference in wins with 20 on the season. Following the season, Lagsdin earned First Team All South Coast Conference, leading his squad to an undefeated conference title, and a third place finish in the state. Prior to his time at Long Beach, Langsin prepped at Orange Lutheran High School, helping the Lancers to the 2022 CIF SoCal DI Regional Semifinals.
Lagsdin joins goalkeepers Federico Castrucci and Jake Nielson under the guidance of assistant coach and former goalkeeper Jamie Steingraf ahead of the inaugural season.
