AS A SENIOR (2020-21): Appeared in one tournament during the season … played as an individual at the Wildhorse Classic … shot a 3-over in the final round

AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Recorded a 73.29 stroke average across six events … named WCC All-Academic honorable mention … placed first out of the Gaels and t-19th overall at the Husky Invitational … finished t-20th in the Alister Mackenzie Invitational and shot a personal best 67 in the first round … led the Gaels in the Inverness Intercollegiate with a t-25th finish … seven rounds of par or lower.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Competed in four events during the season… averaged 75.41 strokes per round over 12 rounds… finished tied for 11th out of 76 competitors at the Bay Area Invitational in San Francisco… also played at Saint Mary’s Invitational, Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, and Cougar Classic… shot a 71 during the second round of the Cougar Classic.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Averaging 73.28 strokes per round... Stroke average is currently third best on the team... Has played in 10 out of 12 possible events for 29 rounds... Posted 10 rounds of par or better... In his first college tournament, Hakim shot 2-under par at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio for a top 15 finish … Fired a 71 during the final round of Nick Watney Invitational to secure a top 20 result … Helped Saint Mary’s earn a third place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational...Finished a team best tied-14th at the Saint Mary's Invitational...Shot 70-68-71 to finish at 4-under par...Ended 19th during his first spring tournament at the Arizona Intercollegiate with round scores of 75-72-74....Finished in the top half of the field at The Goodwin while tying his lowest round score of the year at 70. 

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:  A 2017 graduate of Monte Vista High School, Hakim qualified for the 2016 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn. where he shot 74-71 to finish tied-18th in stroke play and advance into match play… Hakim tied for top honors at the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier at Stanford Golf Course with rounds of 70-68 for a 2-under 138… Overall, Hakim has recorded nine top-5 finishes competing on various junior tours including the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), Future Collegian World Tour (FCWT), Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) and the Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC)… During the summer, Hakim won the AJGA Reno-Tahoe Junior Championship at Arrowcreek Country Club... He also claimed a top finish at the Junior Tour of Northern California at Poppy Ridge Golf Course… Competed on the FCWT and recorded an impressive 3rd place finish at TPC of Las Vegas… He led Monte Vista to a 3rd place finish at the 2016 DI Tournament of Champions with a team best 72.
