Moraga, CA - The Department of Athletics and Recreational Sports announces that the 2004 Gael Awards Show will be held on Tuesday, May 11. The event will honor the numerous academic and athletic achievements of SMC's student-athletes during the past year. Specifically, we will recognize all graduating senior student-athletes and present awards such as Coach of the Year, Male and Female Newcomer of the Year, Male and Female George R. McKeon Award, and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Other awards will include the Mike Gibbons Volunteer of the Year Award, and the Gael Spirit Award. The Gael Awards Show is a semi-formal award presentation, and will be similar in format to an EMMY's or ESPY's award show. The show will be held at the Lefevre Theatre, conveniently located on the Saint Mary's Campus. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the evening's festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. The cost to attend is $5 per person, which covers admittance to both the award show, as well as the dessert social afterwards. All are welcome!
