Saint Mary's Athletics Announces Partnership with AT&T Broadband

Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's Department of Athletics and Recreational Sports is proud to announce that Saint Mary's College and AT&T Broadband will team-up to broadcast three football games during the 2002 season. AT&T Broadband, which provides cable service to over 1.6 million homes in the Contra Costa, Alameda and Marin Counties, will broadcast three Gael home football games.

"We are excited with the opportunity to join forces with AT&T Broadband and bring Saint Mary's football into the homes of our local community," commented head coach Tim Landis. "This is a great opportunity for the College and the football program to gain more exposure in Bay Area."

The three home games will be tape delayed and will air on the Wednesday following the game. The first televised home game will be against Sacramento State, and fans can watch the game on Wednesday, September 11. Next in line is the game against Cal Poly, which can be seen on Wednesday, October 23 and the final televised home game will air on November 13 when the Gaels take on Drake University. All three games will air at 7:00 PM.

Additionally, AT&T Broadband will televise a one-hour Saint Mary's football preview show that will air four times throughout the month of July, in various cities in Contra Costa County. The preview show features interviews with players, coaches and Gael football supporters in addition to footage from the 2002 Spring Game and visual shots of the College.

Fans from Contra Costa County can catch an early glimpse of Saint Mary's football, beginning on July 11, when the Gaels football preview show is televised in Pittsburg and Antioch at 9:00 PM on the community lo-channel. The second telecast of the preview show will air in the cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon and Castro Valley homes on July 12 at 8:00 PM on the cummunity channel 26. The last two showings of the preview show will hit Moraga, Orinda, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Alamo, and Danville on July 20 and 21, starting at 7:00 PM on community channel 25.
