PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: After playing sparingly in his first two seasons at Lehi High School, propelled himself to notoriety in his junior campaign, averaging 18.4 points per game...A torn meniscus sidelined him for most of the summer, but hard work paid off as he was ready to go at the start of his senior campaign, averaging 22.2 points per game in non-conference play, and an incredible 31.4 points per game throughout the remainder of the campaign...That boiled down to a season in which he averaged 27.4 points per game, and buried 110 three pointers, more than double the amount he made in his junior year...Scored 40 or more points in three games during his high school career, and led Lehi to a 6A Championship...As Utah's Mr Basketball and Utah's Gatorade Player of the Year, Cooper is joined by some elite company, including former Detroit Piston and New Orleans Pelican Frank Jackson (who played for his father at Lone Peak), and former Dallas Maverick and 2016 WCC Player of the Year Kyle Collinsworth...Comes to the Gaels after completing a two-year LDS Mission in Portland, Oregon.
