AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2020-21): Made six appearances and joined the Gaels’ lineup three times … named a WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … recorded a 73.94 stroke average across 18 rounds and had five rounds that were par or better … tied for 21st at the Nick Watney Invitational at 2-under … finished in the top half of the field as an individual at the PING Cougar Classic with round scores of 67-72-77 … shot 67 twice during the year for a season low … finished his career with a 74.61 stroke average in 62 rounds.

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019-20): Appeared in seven tournaments while averaging 74.85 strokes per round … recorded a t-26th finish as an individual in the Husky Individual … shot a personal best 68 in the second round of the Nick Watney Invitational … finished fourth on the team in the Saint Mary’s Invitational … finished t-31st at Arizona Intercollegiate … four rounds of par or lower.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Played in four events… recorded a stroke average of 75.25 strokes per round… had a low round of 69 during the first round of the Arizona Medalist… also played in the Bay Area Invitational, Saint Mary’s Invitational and Cougar Classic… posted the best score among Saint Mary’s individuals at the Cougar Classic with round scores of 75-76-73.  

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017-18): Shot a 3-over at the Arizona Intercollegiate in the first spring tournament...finished in the top half of the field at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic... shot 12-over at the Goodwin after shooting 75-73-77... did not compete in any tournaments during the fall season.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17): Did not see action as a true freshman.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:  A 2016 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, Calif. … 4-year varsity letterwinner … shot 69 to lead his team to runner-up at the Sierra Foothill League championships as a senior … a first team all-league selection … team qualified for sectionals and the NorCal Masters three times and advanced to the 2013 NorCal Championships … earned medalist honors at a FCWT event at Hunter Ranch in 2015 … son of David and Andrea VanderVeer … has one brother, Tyler.
