AS A SENIOR (2023): Played and started in all 18 games for the Gaels tallying 1,540 minutes played (3rd on team)... Scored one goal, had two assists for a total of four points... Recorded 13 90-minute games... Scored a goal and had an assist in a 3-0 shutout victory vs. LMU (11/4)...
AS A JUNIOR (2022): Played and started in all 18 matches…had a total of nine shots with four on target…finished third on the team in minutes played with 1527… named in the WCC All-Conference Honorable Mentions list…honored in 2022 Academic All-District team for her achievements in the classroom, maintaining a 3.78 GPA majoring in Biology

AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Started and played in all 11 matches (season played during spring of 2021) … made her collegiate debut against Sacramento State on Feb. 11 … assisted on a goal on Mar. 30 against San Francisco … played 90 or more minutes in six matches … took two shots with one on goal … played a total of 973 minutes.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Barthel played for Dublin Coffman High in Dublin, Ohio just outside of Columbus. She spent four years on the varsity squad at her high school and during her junior year, she helped lead her team to an incredible run where they won their conference, district, and regional championships. That same year, she was named her conference's Player of the Year in addition to being selected to the All-Ohio First Team. Barthel was also a two-time All-League and All-District player as well as captain of her team. She will be studying biology at SMC and has aspirations of becoming a doctor.
