Cross Country: Featured in three races for the Gaels…set a personal best time of 25:48:0 at the Bronco Invite where he finished 47th
Track: In the spring, Barnes raced in seven meets…ran the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m…finished 15th at the WCCAA meet in the 3000m with a time of 9:44.04…12th fastest time on team…set a personal best in the 800m at the West Coast Last Chance meet with a time of 2:05.06…named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All District Team
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021-22)
Cross Country: ran a pair of races for the Gaels in the month of October...made his season debut at the Pacific Invitational on October 1...set a personal best with his time 26:48.2 at the Bronco Invitational.
Track: began the season contributing to the 4x400 relay team that took first as the West Coast Opener with a time of 3:36.26...set a personal-best in the 1500m just two meets later with a 4:13.26 at the Cal Poly Invitational...scored two big PRs later in the season, including one in the 800m at the Hartnell Open, running a 2:08.49...one week later at Fresno State, ran the 5000m in 15:40.04.
AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21)
Cross Country: In his only race of the abbreviated 2021 spring season, finished tenth overall at the Jessup Invite on February 6 with at ime of 27:08.5.
Track: Raced in five of the meets that Saint Mary's competed in as a freshman...ran the 3000m and 5000m twice and set PR's on both of his second tries...his 5000m time of 16:19.31 was good for a PR at the West Coast Distance Carnival on May 8 and he followed that up with a PR in the 3000m the next week at the SCU Bay Area Duals with a finish of 9:23.43...helped the Gaels place sixth in the 4x400m relay at the SCU Bay Area Duals with a time of 3:54.64.
HIGH SCHOOL
Athletics: 3X Washington State Cross Country Championship qualifier. Ran personal bests of 2:15 in the 800m, 4:42 in the 1600m, 9:54 in the 3200m, and 15:56 in the 5k.
