Biography

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2021-22): Played in 24 games with 11 starts... scored a season-high nine points on 4 of 7 shooting and played a season-high 25 minutes against TCU on 11/26/21... hauled down a season high 11 rebounds in the WBI semi-final against Bowling Green... blocked two shots against Pacific on 2/24/22 and against Bowling green.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Battled through a shoulder injury to play in nine games for the Gaels as a redshirt sophomore, making seven starts...when healthy, averaged 23.7 minutes per game and was an effective shooter, making 51.5% of her shots, including her first three-pointer...West averaged 8.8 points per game and also grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game...scored 29 points in the first three games of the year at the Global Sports Tip-Off Challenge before being sidelined until February 13...twice scored 12 points in a game after her return from injury, including in the final game of the year for SMC at the WCC Tournament against San Francisco...hauled in eight rebounds twice: VCU on November 25 and BYU on February 13.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Did not play during her sophomore season due to transfer eligibility.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:
West transferred from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a 6-foot-4 forward and center who played in a total of 20 contests for the Flames last season. She averaged 1.2 rebounds during her time on the court and recorded a total of five blocks. Prior to her collegiate career, West played for Palmerston North Girls High School and graduated in December of 2017. Some of her accolades include earning the 2017 Manawatu Secondary School Code Award for excellence in basketball as well as being named her team's most improved player as both a junior and senior. She averaged 8.3 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 3.4 apg and 1.9 bpg at the 2017 BBNZ Schick National Championships, helping her team to its best-ever finish (12th place) at the event.
