AS A SENIOR (2023): Played and started in 14 games as the Gaels primary goalkeeper... Recorded 1,224 minutes of action and led the team with 56 saves and an 8-4-2 overall record in goal... Finishes the season with six clean sheets and recorded a season high 10 saves in a stellar shutout victory over Gonzaga (10/14).Â
AS A JUNIOR (2022) : Played and started in all 18 matches…recorded six shutouts, including an eight save shutout against Pepperdine, where she also made a game saving penalty…totaled 74 saves…tallied 1620 minutes, the most on the team…got her first ever assist against San Jose State…named WCC Defensive Player of the Week for recording six saves and two clean sheets in the opening two games of the season…named in the WCC All-Conference Honorable Mentions list.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021): Played and started in 17 matches ... recorded eight solo shutouts, including a clean sheet against No. 3 Pepperdine in a 0-0 draw ... the eight shutouts are the fourth-most in program history in a single season, and she tied for the second most in the WCC last season ... Did not allow a goal in 63 minutes against UC Davis before having to check out with an injury ... total of 50 saves ... Season-high six saves against Fresno State ... Five saves in 4 games (against California, BYU, Portland, and LMU) ... third-most minutes played on the team, playing a total of 1597 minutes.
AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Started and played in 11 matches as a true freshman (season played during spring of 2021) … named WCC Goalkeeper of the Year, Second Team All-WCC, and All-Freshman Team … tallied three shutouts … had 55 saves on 138 shots … led the conference with a .859 save percentage and was second with a 0.77 goals-against average … was named Saint Mary’s Female Newcomer of the Year … played all but 11 minutes during the season and led the team in minutes … posted a season-high 11 saves against Santa Clara on Mar. 6 … didn’t allow a goal in three of her final four matches … made four stops in her collegiate debut against Sacramento State on Feb. 11 … had a record of 4-4-3.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Poland hails from Southern California but split her high school time between two states. After spending her first two years in Arizona, Poland finished up at Dana Hills High and was a captain for her team. She spent all four seasons on the varsity team while in high school and was also First Team All-Region all four years as well. Poland was a four-time Scholar Athlete as a prep and will look to continue her dominance off the pitch as she studies psychology at Saint Mary's. In her free time, she enjoys writing and also knows how to juggle.
