AS A JUNIOR (2024): The only Gael to appear in every single set on the season…Put up career-best marks for kills (29), assists (568), digs (217) and blocks (5) in her junior campaign…Also served up 29 aces for the year, three shy of her career high of 32 set in 2024…After recording just three double-doubles in her first two seasons, went for seven in 2024, including one that featured a career-high 18 digs against Air Force (Sep. 19)...Twice surpassed the 30 assists mark, including a career-high 39 in a four set win over Portland (Nov. 27)...Tallied at least one kills in 16 of 27 matches from the setter position, hitting at a solid 0.410 clip…Earned honorable mention WCC All-Academic Honors for the second straight year.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023): Spent time as a setter in a 6-2 rotation for the Gaels and as a defensive specialist when the Gaels opted to go with a 5-1 rotation…Appeared in 105 sets on the year, missing just two sets all season…Finished second on the Gaels with 355 assists and 32 service aces…Surpassed the 30 assist mark in a match for the first time in her career in the Gaels five set victory at Weber State…Recorded a pair of double-doubles on the year against Sacramento State and Washington…Career-high four service aces came in the Gaels five set thriller victory in Stockton over Pacific…Named an honorable mention member of the WCC All-Academic team at the culmination of the season.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022): Only freshman on the roster to appear in all 26 matches during the 2022 indoor season...spending time as the second setter in the 6-2, Garcia was second on the team in assists with 202, and was fourth on the team in aces with 16...eclipsed 10 assists on eight occasions, with the first of those coming in her second collegiate game on August 27 at Boise State (16)...this was also her first and only double-double on the year, where she added 11 digs...her career-best in assists came in conference play, a five-set win against Gonzaga on November 17, where she put up 25 assists.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Graduate of Syracuse High School in Layton, Utah...racking up over 3,000 career assists across four seasons (9.0 assists per set), holding the Syracuse High School program record with 3,311...Titans took first place in the region during her freshman and senior seasons, and finished as high as third in the state in 2021...has been named an AVCA All-American twice (including 2021), Utah State Region 1 MVP, 6A Deseret News Second Team All-State, and a four-time First Team All-Region student-athlete.
Favorite volleyball memory: My senior year at state breaking the state record for most career assists and seeing all of my friends and family who were there to support me.
Favorite holiday: Halloween
What do you love most about Saint Mary’s: I love the campus and overall environment and culture the school gives.
Favorite thing about SMC Volleyball: The team. Such a great group of girls, so happy to call them family.
