Ryan Reggiani has been the Deputy Athletics Director for External Operations for the past six years at Saint Mary’s College, after serving three years as Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations for the Gaels.
Reggiani is a member of the Senior Administration Team with Saint Mary’s, and is a sport supervisor for men’s basketball, volleyball and golf. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the External Relations department, which includes marketing, communications, digital media, ticketing, social media, merchandise, licensing and revenue generation.
In his new Deputy AD role, he took on the additional responsibilities of overseeing facilities, game management and summer camps. Reggiani is also the liaison to Learfield/IMG Sports Properties, the Gaels’ multi-media rights holder and the liaison with the Gaels NIL Fund.
Over the past eight years, Reggiani has helped lead a dynamic external charge, including a school-record in revenue generation, ticket sales and attendance for six-straight seasons across multiple sports, including men’s basketball. He has increased national awareness through social and digital media and a revamped responsive website.

While overseeing facilities and operations, Reggiani was the lead organizer of an 18-million-dollar remodel and renovation of University Credit Union Pavilion, which includes new locker rooms, coaches’ offices, administrative offices and fan enhancement areas completed in 2024. In 2023, Reggiani oversaw the completion of the $3 million new Br. Ronald Gallagher Baseball Stadium and the completion of a brand new 2.3-million-dollar strength and conditioning training center in the summer of 2020.
Reggiani was part of an external group that helped secure the school’s first naming right’s agreement, renaming the University Credit Union Pavilion. The agreement is the first all campus sponsorship of its kind, marking a landmark deal for any West Coast Conference institution.
As sport supervisor of men’s soccer, Reggiani oversaw the Gaels’ national Coach of the Year in 2018 in Adam Cooper, while the team won back-to-back WCC Championships.
Reggiani continues to push the external staff to give back to the surrounding community at Saint Mary’s College. He helped orchestrate the first grateful gatherings community service project, encompassing both athletic staff and student-athletes and launched the Moraga Gaels community service project in 2024.

Recently, Reggiani was added as a member of the West Coast Conference’s strategic planning committee and sits on the WCC External Affairs committee. He recently served on the Saint Mary’s College strategic planning committee.
Prior to returning to Saint Mary’s, Reggiani was the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions at the University of San Diego. At USD, Reggiani was responsible for developing and implementing advertising and promotions plans; coordinating athletic merchandise sales; planning, managing and directing sponsor fulfillment; and the season ticket sales drive. Additionally, he was responsible for all athletics TV, radio, and other media related contracts and fulfillment.
Before his time in San Diego, Reggiani worked at Fresno State, where he spent a total of five years working in marketing, revenue generation, media relations, communications, video production, merchandising, and licensing. During that time, he held the position of Assistant Athletics Director for External Relations, managing the day-to-day functions of communications, marketing, new media and video production services.
Prior to his appointment at Fresno State, Reggiani served three and a half years as Assistant Media Relations Director with the University of Hawai'i Athletics Department. Reggiani began his career in athletics as the Director of Sports Information at Saint Mary's College.
Reggiani received his master's degree in sports administration from Saint Mary's College in 2010 and bachelor's degree in mass communication and journalism from Fresno State in 2001.
