After spending the 2023-24 Saint Mary's Men's Basketball campaign as a student-manager, Taj Shokar was added to the SMC staff as a Graduate Assistant ahead of the 2024-25 season. Shokar graduated from Saint Mary's in 2024 with a degree in kinesiology with a focus on sports and recreation management, and now will pursue a master's degree.
Shokar was very active on the Saint Mary's campus as an undergrad. On top of serving as a team manager for the basketball team, he served as a Facilities Coordinator, an Intramural Coordinator, and worked for the Sports Marketing Department.
