Sandt’s week began with a career-high six service ace contest against Southern Utah on Friday night. The six aces tied her for fifth most in a single match and second most for a four set match in program history. Sandt added 29 assists, 7 digs, a kill and a block to her stat line in the Gaels four set victory over the Thunderbirds.
As an encore performance, Sandt tallied 28 assists and 8 digs in a four set victory over Portland State. She then capped her terrific Labor Day Weekend with her first double-double of the season, totalling 20 assists and a season-high 15 digs on the road against Sacramento State.
Ella currently leads the Gaels with 154 assists and 10 service aces, while totalling 51 digs, good for second. She is the programs active leader in sets played (280), assists (1651), service aces (71) and digs (564).
