Junior Nick Marcum (San Diego, CA), a midfielder on the Saint Mary's men's soccer team, was honored with a First Team All-West Coast Conference selection for the 2000 season. Marcum, who was the WCC Freshman of the Year in 1998 and was selected First Team All-WCC in 1999, was an instrumental link between the Gaels' offense and defense. The savvy midfielder tallied six points on the season with two goals and two assists, including a goal against then #1 UCLA on October 1.

Recieving Honorable Mentions for the WCC were juniors Alex Avina (San Luis Obispo, CA) and Brian Kummer (Las Vegas, NV), freshman Alex Monsalve (Newark, CA), and sophomore Brian Rhodes (San Jose, CA). Avina led the Gaels in assists with five on the season, while also tallying two goals for a total of nine points. Monsalve led the Gaels in scoring with five goals and three assists on the year to finish with 13 points. At midfielder and defender, respectively, Rhodes and Kummer provided the backbone for the Gaels' defense.
