Berkeley, CA - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team dropped their first match of the season on Wednesday afternoon, falling to No. 17 California 7-0 in Berkeley. With the loss the Gaels fall to 5-1, while California improved to 4-0.
In singles action, Kristin Kummer won her first set 6-3 against Monica Wiesener, but then lost two straight to lose the point.
In doubles action, the team of Caitlin Aloia and Stef Ordoveza fell 8-5, Aude Lambert and Feline Charlot lost 8-4 and Megan Schulman and Kummer also lost 8-1.
