
Men's Tennis Upsets No. 48 Arizona

Tucson, AZ - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team finished their Arizona tour by completing the sweep over NAU and Arizona University. The Gaels ended their two day stint by defeating Arizona today 4-1. In a sign of good things to come the Gaels begun their season 2-0 with a win over NAU and No. 48 Arizona.
Junior transfer Joel Kusnierz led the Gaels in from the first position. After falling behind 6-2 in the first set the transfer fought back to win the second set 7-5. The third set was all Kusnierz as he won 6-2.
Senior Andre Sion rolled through his match, winning in two sets by a score of 6-1 and 6-4. Yury Platanov and Adam Fauvre won in three sets from the fifth and sixth positions to secure the Gael upset.
