
Women's Basketball Signs Morgan Hatten

Moraga, CA – Saint Mary's women's basketball and head coach Paul Thomas are excited to announce that Morgan Hatten has signed her National Letter of Intent and will officially join the Gaels for the 2009-10 season.
Hatten, a 6-0 guard from Fresno, CA, has accumulated many accolades throughout her high school career, and is currently holding a 4.0 grade point average. Prior to her senior season at Clovis West High School, Hatten has recorded 1,000 points and 800 rebounds. In addition to earning four letters in basketball at Clovis West, Hatten has also lettered in tennis twice.
Individual awards of Hatten's include: All-Tournament at the Oregon End of Trail, All-Tournament at the River City Classic, Most Valuable Player at the West Coast Jamboree, First Team Cal Hi Sports, All-State California Team (2006, 2007, 2008), First Team All-State Division I in 2008, First team All-League (2006-08), and Central Valley Player of the Year in 2008.
Hatten chose Saint Mary's for the excellent coaching staff, players, and Catholic education. She was also recruited by Oregon State, Gonzaga, Washington State, Pepperdine, San Francisco, UC Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount, and UNLV.
