Fresno, CA - The Saint Mary's men's tennis was unable to defeat No. 52 Fresno State on the road, as they fell to the Bulldogs 6-1. The loss only marks the Gaels' fourth of the year, with all four of them coming against ranked opponents.
Saint Mary's captured two wins in the match, earning victories at the No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles positions. Joel Kusnierz was the only Gael to survive the Bulldogs in singles, posting a 6-3, 6-1 win against Mirko Zapletal. The pair of Achim Christner and Marek Dvorak recorded a win in doubles, pushing past Denny Fafek and Taylor Leiby, 8-6.
The Gaels return to action on Monday, March 31, as they hit the road to play San Francisco at 1:00 PM.
