AS A SENIOR (2016): Named to the All-WCC Second Team and WCC All-Academic Team ... Appeared and started in all 58 games as the primary third baseman in his last season as a Gael … Racked up 64 hits (fourth on the team), 40 RBI's (second on the team), 32 walks (second on the team) and seven homeruns (tied for second on the team) … Scored his final homerun as a Gael in a West Coast Conference Tournament win against Gonzaga on May 27 … Finished the year second on the team in both on base percentage (.402) and slugging percentage (.470) … Tallied up 18 doubles with two coming against San Diego on Mar. 18.
AS A JUNIOR (2015): Earned All-West Coast Conference first team honors thanks to a breakout season that established him as one of the conference's top offensive players ... Hit .343 with 69 hits, 24 runs, 39 RBI, four home runs, 15 doubles and a .488 slugging percentage ... Started and played in 54 games ... Tied for the team lead in RBI with Collin Ferguson and finished second in doubles and home runs ... Ranked fourth in the WCC in RBI, eighth in batting average, ninth in on-base percentage, ninth in total bases and 10th in doubles ... Tied for the team lead with 21 multi-hit games (Ferguson) and led the team with 10 multiple-RBI games ... Hit .321 with runners in scoring position ... Was particularly strong in conference play, hitting a team-best .379 with eight doubles, one home run and 12 RBI in 27 WCC games ... Showed what kind of season he was primed for right away when he went 6 for 15 with two home runs, two doubles and seven RBI in opening series at Seattle ... Earned a spot on the WCC All-Academic team and WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Silver list for carrying a 3.56 GPA while majoring in Business Administration.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): One of three Gaels to start all 55 games of the 2014 season with every start coming at third base ... Hit .276 with 23 RBI and 19 runs on the season ... Ranked second on the team in doubles with 11 ... .967 fielding percentage was second among SMC's starting infielders ... Hit .300 (18 for 60) with runners in scoring position ... Had 17 multi-hit games, including four games with three hits or more ... Season high in hits came Feb. 15 at New Mexico State when he went 4 for 6 with an RBI and two runs scored ... Was particularly effective in conference play, hitting .327 with 11 runs and 11 RBI in 27 WCC games ... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Silver list for carrying a GPA between 3.74 and 3.50.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013): Earned a spot on the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team... Finished third on the team with 70 total bases ... Appeared in 54 games, making 52 starts at third base ... Had 56 hits and finished second on the team with 14 doubles ... Had a .351 on-base percentage ... Had 13 mult-hit games, six multi-RBI games and an eight-game hitting streak ... PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Villa ended his high school career with his best statistical season thus far ... The San Ramon Valley High School product had a .438 batting average, clubbing nine doubles, scoring 11 runs and knocking in 14 ... He was named to the East Bay Athletic League First-Team as an infielder ... Father, Steve, played quarterback and wore No. 7 at Santa Clara University (1981-84) and was signed by the San Francisco 49ers in 1985. Anthony chose to wear No. 7 in honor of his father Steve's football number.
