2015 (Junior): Forced his way into the lineup due to a hot bat and never looked back, earning All-West Coast Conference second team honors in his third season as a Gael ... finished the year as SMC's leading hitter with a .349 batting average and ended the season with 58 hits, 30 runs, 19 RBI and a .417 on-base percentage ... finished second on the team in stolen bases with 11 ... began the year as a utility player who had seen most of his playing time at second base but started in left field to begin the Utah Valley series and never left the outfield, compiling a 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors, 58 putouts and 16 assists while playing all three outfield spots ... trip to Utah Valley was a particularly fruitful one as he went 10 for 19 in a four-game stretch that included a 5 for 6 performance in the series finale ... only got better once conference play began, hitting .354 in 27 games ... had 14 multi-hit games and tied for the second-longest hitting streak of the season with an 11-game stretch from March 17 to April 2.
2014 (Sophomore): Versatile player in the field appeared in 39 games, starting 35 ... Hit .230 on the season with 18 runs, 10 RBI and two doubles ... Split time between the infield and outfield, playing second base as well as both corner outfield spots ... Had six multi-hit games, including two with three hits apiece ... Went 3 for 5 with a run in the first game of a doubleheader against BYU on March 28 ... Three games later, added another three-hit day when he went 3 for 4 against Pepperdine on April 4 ... Provided one of the team's most memorable moments with a two-run single in the ninth inning on May 16 at Santa Clara that proved to be the eventual game-winning hit.
2013 (Freshman): Appeared in 36 games making 24 starts... played primarily second base and a few games at third base... recorded 21 hits in 87 at-bats... had four multi-hit games including a season-high three hits at UC Riverside... in the game against UCR, he went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and his first career extra base hit... had two hit games against San Jose State, Nevada and UC Davis... first collegiate stolen base came at CSU Northridge... recorded a season-high seven assists against San Diego in WCC action.
High School: Hornsby played a big role in helping Acalanes High School repeat as NCS Champions. The two-time captain finished his high school career strong, going a perfect 3-for-3 in the NCS Championship game.
