

MTEN | Gaels Battle Tough in Loss at Undefeated Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. - Saint Mary's men's tennis (1-1) battled hard throughout the day's competition forcing several three-set battles, but fell short against undefeated Fresno State (4-0) Sunday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
 Sophomore Damon Kesaris won his second straight to open 2018, after pulling off a come from behind victory over the Bulldogs' top player Xander Veys.
 Partnered with Nash Vollenweider, the top doubles team for the Gaels cruised to the day's first victory on court 1, 6-3.
 Saint Mary's continues the dual season on Saturday, Jan. 27, against Troy at 9 a.m. PT.
