SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Saint Mary's women's rowing team competed in their second race of the fall on Saturday with six boats entering the competition.
The Novice Eight entered the water first, grabbing a fourth-place finish (23:06.2) behind Cal and Sacramento State's A and B boats.
In the Collegiate Eight Race, the Gaels' A boat placed eighth with a time of 18:40.7 and the B Boat came in 17th, less than two minutes behind (20:28.1).
In the Collegiate Fours, SMC raced three boats with the top finishers coming in seventh (21:41.5) while second and third placed 10th (22:17.6) and 15th (23:34.4).
Saint Mary's next travels to Head of the Lagoon for their final competition of the Fall. The race will take place in Foster City, Calif. on November 10.

"It was a good day for the team," said head coach Anna Pytlak. "The novices improved on their performance from Head of the Port and the varsity had three top-10 finishes. It is exciting to see the team coming together! Today makes us really motivated to get to work preparing Head of the Lagoon."
