ROW | Gaels Finish Strong in Final Fall Competition

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — The Saint Mary's rowing team finished off their fall season on a high note on Saturday as four of their boats placed in the top five.
In the Collegiate Fours race, the SMC A four took first place with a time of 21:31.7 coming in ahead of two Humboldt boats, Cal Maritime, two Southern Oregon University boats and two other SMC boats. The race proved to be a strong one for the Gaels as they came in almost two minutes ahead of the second place finisher.
The SMC C four placed fourth with a time of 23:35.2 and the D boat came in fifth, just .1 seconds behind. (23:35.3).
The Novice Eight came in fourth at 23:58.5 and placed ahead of the Sac State B and Davis B boats.
QUOTABLE
"The team had a really great attitude today," said head coach Anna Pytlak. "It was awesome to see the athletes rally and close out our fall racing with good results. Go Gaels!"
