MORAGA, Calif. — The Gaels will finish up their first home stand of the 2018 season this week as they host Fresno State. Sunday's match against the Bulldogs will begin at 3:30 p.m. directly following the men's soccer match which will take place against Cal Poly at 1 p.m.

Saint Mary's is off to a solid start, having achieved a 3-3 record so far this season. The team is coming off an exciting defensive shutout against Nevada with Jordyn Cunningham scoring the lone goal of the game, which was her second game-winning goal of 2018.
Maleah Milner is off to a strong start in the goal for the Gaels as well. During last Sunday's game, she recorded her first clean sheet of the season and has gathered 26 saves while starting all six matches for Saint Mary's.
ABOUT FRESNO STATE
Fresno State will be visiting Saint Mary's Stadium with a 1-3-1 record this season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 loss to Cal State Fullerton on the road. Fresno State took only four shots on goal during the entire game and are averaging 8.8 shots in their first five contests this year.
The Bulldogs have had a difficult beginning to their season as they have not recorded a win since their opening match against Montana. Fresno State's offense is led by junior Tori Nicolo who has three goals thus far while goalkeeper Marie Berwinkel-Kottmann leads the team with 16 saves through four matches.
Fresno State and Saint Mary's have not played each other since the 2016 season when the Bulldogs earned a 2-1 win over the Gaels. Saint Mary's are 2-2 all-time versus Fresno State with a 1-1 record at home.
