Kate Plachy has gotten off to a stellar start in goal for the Gaels, recording her fifth consecutive shutout in a massive 2-0 win over the 16th ranked Hoyas on Sunday. Plachy brings her career shutout total to eleven and now sits in a tie for sixth place all-time in program history. She also ranks fifth in all of Division I with her five shutouts, tied with just five other players.
Plachy had six saves against the Hoyas for her third game this season with 5+ saves in a match. She also earned her second conference Defensive Player of the Week award after Saint Mary's swept the two weekly awards along with senior midfielder
Savannah Schwarze back on September 1st.
