VB | Parker, Ashley, Pitts Receive All-WCC Honors

MORAGA, Calif. –– Following the completion of the 2019 regular season, three Gaels have earned All-WCC honorable mentions for their performances; seniors Alexsa "Crash" Parker, Aubrey Pitts, and sophomore Breyan Ashley.
Parker has led the squad this season as a senior at the setter position and has made the most of her final season. She began the year by being named to the Utah Volleyball Classic Tournament team after recording 70 assists and five aces over three contests. Parker has also led the team this season and throughout her career in service aces as she now holds the program record with 136, as she passed her coach Mandy Bible (128) earlier this season.
Ashley has been an offensive stalwart for the Gaels this season as she currently leads the team in multiple categories. She has a team-high, 312 kills on the season and has played in every set (106) for Saint Mary's this year. Ashley averaged 2.94 kills per set over the course of the season, which is best on the team. She is also second on the team behind Parker with 32 service aces this year.
Pitts has been vital to SMC as a middle blocker this year and has made the national rankings multiple weeks in a row. Pitts is ranked eight in the nation and second in the conference in blocks per set (1.44) and is also ranked fourth in the WCC in total blocks (124), which are both good for best on the team. She has now amassed 180 blocks over the course of her career.
