EUGENE, Ore.  — Saint Mary's won their first two points of the season on Friday against the Ducks but eventually fell on the road with a final score of 5-2.
Clementine Clement earned a victory in the No. 2 singles spot in a marathon match against Oregon's Daniela Nasser. Clement dropped a close first set, 4-6, but rallied with a 6-4 second set and closed out the win 2-1 (12-10) in the third and final set.
Aubane Ville earned the other point for the Gaels as the team's No. 6 singles position with an easy 6-1, 6-0 win against Taryn Fujimori.
