SB | Gaels Play Seven Home Games This Week

Saint Mary's will have a full schedule this week with seven contests at Cottrell Field.

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's will have a busy week as they play home seven games against three teams this week beginning Tuesday. The Gaels open play against Fairleigh Dickinson before hosting the Saint Mary's Tournament with Bucknell and Manhattan coming to Moraga.

ABOUT FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON
The Knights are 4-11 this year and have lost four straight. FDU attended a tournament over the weekend in nearby Stockton and were defeated twice by WCC-member Pacific. Last season, the Knights were 17-26 and 8-8 in Northeast Conference action.

First baseman Madison Emerson is FDU's best bat with a .326 average and .453 on-base percentage. As a team, Fairleigh Dickinson is batting only .193 this year and have not hit a home run yet this season.

Senior Baylee Ports leads the team with 31.2 innings pitched and owns a 4.20 ERA. Four different Knights had started a game this season in the circle while five total pitchers have made an appearance.

ABOUT BUCKNELL
The Bison will play four games in the week prior to coming to Moraga in San Jose and Stockton. Bucknell is 6-10 this season and have yet to play a home game. The Bison have already been in California since Mar. 8 as they played in a tournament at Stanford over the weekend.

Bucknell has five players who are batting above .300 this season including the team's leader, Jess Hom, who has a .344 average. Allyse Volpe and Taylor Wolfgang each have nine extra base hits.

Raeanne Geffert leads the team with a 3.09 ERA and anchors a strong pitching corps that has produced the same ERA as a team.

ABOUT MANHATTAN
The Jaspers have played all of nine games this year and are 4-5 overall. Before coming to Moraga, Manhattan will host Central Connecticut at home for a doubleheader.

Annie Moore is batting .406 this year to lead the Jaspers while her teammate Lauren Pitney has reached base in over 61 percent of her trips to the plate. As a team, Manhattan has an on-base percentage of .421.

Stephanie Kristo has been the Jaspers' top pitcher so far with a 3-1 record and 3.45 earned run average. The team has scored the same amount of runs they've allowed this year with 54.
