SB | Gaels Add Brittanee Fisher to Coaching Staff from Montana State - Billings

MORAGA, Calif. — The back-to-back WCC Champion Saint Mary's Softball team is hard at work this fall, hoping to accomplish the three-peat. One of the tasks at hand was to replace the assistant coach role following the departure of Juju Sargent. That task can officially be checked off of the to-do list, as the Gaels have added Brittanee Fisher to their staff. Coach Fisher brings five years of coaching experience to the Gaels staff following a stellar career as a player in the NCAA DII ranks at Montana State - Billings.

A 2022 graduate of Montana State - Billings, Coach Fisher began her coaching career the summer after her junior year, when she joined the coaching staff of Thunder Fastpitch as a first base coach and hitting specialist. She maintained that role the summer after her senior season as well. Following her graduation, Coach Fisher joined on the staff of her alma mater as a Graduate Assistant for a season before being hired on as a full assistant coach last year. Most recently, Coach Fisher also served as the head coach of the Billings Saints softball club.

As a player, Coach Fisher was a gifted power hitter and first baseman for the Yellowjackets. Serving as an every day starter since her freshman year, she appeared in 185 games, hitting at 0.310 with 41 home runs, the program record, and 115 RBI. She was named an All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference three times over her five year career, picking up second team All-Region honors as a junior in 2021.

Coach Fisher will join Coach Frankie Hammoude in assisting with the Gaels offense and infielders. Coming off of a historic offensive campaign, the Gaels look to keep the momentum rolling heading into the 2026 season.
