LOS ANGELES — After having their match against Hawaii cancelled due to rain, Saint Mary's (1-7) took the court against No. 32 USC but fell 4-0 on the Women of Troy's home courts.
USC (8-2) earned the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Mariia Kozyreva and Hind Abdelouahid put up a fight on court one but the match was called early.
Kozyreva nearly picked up a victory over No. 34 Salma Ewing in singles play but the match was called with a 6-2, 5-4 advantage for the Gaels' sophomore. Jordan Harris was also leading in her match before play ended prematurely. The Women of Troy clinched the victory with wins on courts two, three, and four.
