MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's (7-23) will travel to Denton, Texas this weekend for a three-game set against North Texas.
The Gaels will take on the Mean Green in a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m.
ABOUT NORTH TEXAS
The Mean Green (21-12) are coming off their second conference sweep of the season as they defeated Florida International in all three games last weekend to improve their Conference USA record to 10-2. In the series, North Texas shutout Florida International in the first two games and tallied 13 runs in the third to secure the three-game victory.
Outfielder Katie Clark leads the team so far this season as she has collected 39 hits with a .419 batting average, which is good for first in the conference. Six players own a on-base percentage above .400, including Harley Perella who has earned a .430 on-base percentage and has scored 32 runs, which is the most on the team.
In the circle for the Mean Green, Hope Trautwein holds a 12-4 record with a 2.52 ERA. With a 1.07 WHIP, in 119.1 innings pitched, the sophomore has recorded 99 strikeouts and has only allowed 43 walks.
Prior to hosting Saint Mary's, North Texas will take on Sam Houston State in a single non-conference game on Wednesday.

Last week, Saint Mary's faced off against Stanford in a doubleheader, but were unable to overcome the Cardinal as they dropped both contests. The Gaels were shutout in both contests, but in the second game of the doubleheader, Nikki Alexander went 2-for-2 to lead Saint Mary's on the day.
